This evening program will include a short reading of an excerpt from the book, a curated conversation/Q&A, and a book signing. The discussion will unpack the intersectional richness of Unwieldy Creatures, including themes that echo with the artwork in Eaton’s Gender Within the exhibit, currently on view. The author will also discuss the creative process around crafting this radical retelling of a traditional, Eurocentric story, and also how biracial Asian identity informs both the author and host’s experiences.
