Donna Miscolta, who grew up in California and now lives in Seattle, has a bachelorโs degree in zoology from San Diego State University and a masterโs degree in education and public administration from the University of Washington. Through the years, she took classes and workshops in fiction writing and published two novels: When the de la Cruz Family Danced and Hola and Goodbye: Una Familia in Stories, the winner of numerous awards, including the 2015 Doris Bakwin Award for Writing by a Woman, an Independent Publishers award for Best Regional Fiction, and an International Latino Book Award for Best Latino Focused Fiction.
Miscolta is the author of Living Color: Angie Rubio Stories
