Jaded Ibis Press is an independent, nonprofit, feminist press publishing socially engaged literature by authors whose voices have been historically marginalized. Now, more than ever, these voices need to be elevated. The majority of our operating budget is from contributions, which allows us to select authors and projects not based on the market and on commerce but based on the potential cultural impact.

In 2024, we published six extraordinary books. Our books have been critically acclaimed and have won numerous awards, including the Foreword Indies, the American Book Fest, the IPPies, the Reviewer’s Choice Award’s, The Next Generation Indie Book Awards, the Crook’s Corner Book Prize, the Writer’s Center First Novel Prize, and the Lambda Literary Awards.

Jaded Ibis Press’ goals for 2025 include to publish 9 titles, attend the AWP conference in Los Angeles and have a booth at the book fair, and open a storefront in San Diego with a small book shop to sell our books as well as other books by independent, feminist presses with similar missions.
